Sarah Baker is a highly motivated and caring Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2020. Since completing her degree, she has been working in the private practice environment, where she continues to refine her clinical skills and deepen her expertise. Sarah is passionate about delivering personalised, evidence-based care and thrives on helping people of all ages improve their function, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love.
As part of her commitment to professional growth, Sarah has undertaken further training in dry needling as well as APPI matwork Pilates. She integrates these modalities into her treatment approach when appropriate, providing a broader range of care to support patient recovery. Her compassionate nature and thoughtful communication style ensure patients feel listened to and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Sarah brings a well-rounded and practical skill set to her clinical work. She treats a broad range of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, as well as more specialised concerns. Her main areas of focus include:
Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Sarah has a special interest in rehabilitation before and after orthopaedic surgery, particularly total knee and hip replacements. She works closely with patients to prepare their bodies for surgery and to optimise recovery afterwards.
Vertigo and BPPV Management
Sarah has a strong clinical interest in treating Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and other dizziness-related conditions. Her goal is to reduce symptoms quickly and effectively, helping patients regain confidence in their balance and movement.
TMJ Dysfunction
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues can be both painful and disruptive. Sarah offers tailored physiotherapy techniques to manage jaw discomfort and associated symptoms.
Sports and Musculoskeletal Injuries
Whether it’s a sprain, strain, overuse injury or general joint and muscle pain, Sarah enjoys assessing and treating a wide variety of physical complaints. She employs a holistic approach and encourages active involvement from patients in their recovery plans.
Sarah’s ability to combine hands-on therapy, education, and exercise-based rehab ensures each patient receives a well-rounded and individualised plan. She is known for her clear explanations and kind demeanour, which helps create a trusting therapeutic relationship.
Beyond clinical work, Sarah remains passionate about ongoing education and applying the latest research to practice. She continues to develop her knowledge in physiotherapy to ensure the highest level of care.
