Guy Slater graduated from Guy’s Hospital Medical School in 1989. He completed his specialist training on the South East Thames King’s College rotation. To enhance his expertise, he trained as a senior fellow at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, one of Australia’s most respected orthopaedic institutions.
In 2002, Guy Slater was appointed Consultant at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Since then, he has performed a high volume of hip and knee replacements, maintaining outstanding outcomes. He is also active in emergency trauma care and has served as Clinical Director of his orthopaedic department for over three years.
Today, Guy continues to lead and teach. He trains junior surgeons and instructs on Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) courses. As a steering group member at the Royal College of Surgeons, he helps shape orthopaedic training nationwide.
