Hatty Veale CBT/EMDR Therapist Bristol offers compassionate and effective therapy for adults and young people. With over 12 years of experience, Hatty helps clients overcome many mental health challenges. She uses trusted methods like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). Right from the start, she creates a safe and welcoming space for clients to share their concerns.
Hatty has strong qualifications, which show her dedication to quality care. For example, she earned her EMDR Level 3 certification in November 2022. Moreover, she gained an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision with distinction in May 2021. In addition, she holds postgraduate diplomas in CBT for children and young people, and in counselling, both with high marks. Also, her foundation degree and certificates prove her knowledge and skills in therapy.
Hatty focuses on treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, and phobias. Besides that, she supports clients dealing with stress, grief, loss, and relationship problems. She uses several approaches, including CBT, EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Importantly, her work is always person-centred. This means she works closely with clients to make personalised and evidence-based plans.
Since May 2021, Hatty has worked as a CBT/EMDR sessional therapist. Later, she became a permanent member of the Priory team in November 2024. Throughout her career, she has worked in different healthcare settings, charities, and private practice. Furthermore, Hatty supervises other therapists, helping them grow and improve their skills.
