Dr. Lewis began her journey in medicine at Newcastle University. She started her specialist oncology training in 1993. In 2001, she was appointed as Consultant Clinical Oncologist at NCCC. Since then, she has continued to lead with excellence in several sub-specialties including paediatric radiotherapy, pituitary tumours, and blood cancers.

As Chair of the Neuro-science MDT and the Neuro-oncology Network MDT, Dr. Lewis plays a pivotal role in coordinating multidisciplinary care for brain tumour patients. She is also an active member of the European Research Group for Brain Tumours, British Neuro-oncology Society, Royal College of Radiologists, and the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG).
