With a career spanning more than 30 years, Anna McIntosh brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge, skill, and compassion to her podiatry practice. Her journey began while undertaking university vacation work at Resthaven. It was there that she discovered her passion for podiatry—a path she pursued by graduating from the University of South Australia in 1992.
Anna’s early professional years were as dynamic as they were diverse. She began her clinical work serving Pt Augusta and remote communities via the Royal Flying Doctor Service. From there, her expertise was sought in many of Adelaide’s major hospitals, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital, and Lyell McEwin Hospital. She has also worked in Community Health Centre Noarlunga, provided services through Domiciliary Care, and supported residents in nursing homes.
Anna’s focus in private practice lies in rehabilitation and physical podiatry, where she helps individuals regain mobility and enjoy a more active, pain-free life. She has vast experience in managing complex cases and understands the physical and emotional journey involved in recovery.
Her services include:
General Podiatry Care: Management of corns, calluses, nail issues, and skin conditions.
Rehabilitation Support: Tailored treatment plans for clients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions.
Mobility and Gait Assessments: Identification and correction of walking issues to improve function and prevent further injury.
Aged Care Podiatry: Specialised care for older adults, particularly those in nursing homes or receiving domiciliary support.
Preventive Care: Ongoing monitoring and early intervention to support long-term foot health.
Anna combines her strong clinical skills with a deep appreciation for holistic care. She believes that healing involves more than just physical treatment—it requires attention to the mind and spirit as well. Her consultations always focus on the whole person, not just the symptoms.
What sets Anna apart is her warmth and ability to form meaningful connections with clients. She thrives on personal interaction and often brings laughter into her appointments, making treatment feel less clinical and more personal.
Anna finds particular inspiration in her elderly patients, especially those who continue to live full lives well into their 100s. They are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when health and vitality are prioritised.
If you are seeking a podiatrist who values empathy, listens attentively, and brings decades of experience to every appointment, Anna McIntosh is a trusted choice. Her practice isn’t just about treating feet—it’s about helping people walk through life with confidence, comfort, and joy.
