Ellen Tansey Trainee Psychotherapist London is currently studying for a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London. Her training follows an Integrative Therapeutic approach that blends various models to support each person’s unique needs. Ellen is also a proud BACP Student Member. Her work is rooted in social awareness, emotional safety, and real human connection.
Before training as a psychotherapist, Ellen spent over 10 years in the charity sector. During this time, she developed expertise supporting people facing domestic abuse, homelessness, imprisonment, and immigration barriers. Because of this, she brings deep compassion and insight to her therapy sessions. Her background helps her connect with individuals navigating complex life challenges.
Ellen’s approach to therapy is shaped by a commitment to inclusion and equality. She works mindfully, always aware of the social and cultural contexts that affect mental health. Marginalisation, discrimination, and adversity are not just background issues—they shape our emotions, identities, and experiences. Through therapy, Ellen helps clients make sense of these intersections.
Ellen offers a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where clients feel safe. Here, people are invited to explore emotions, memories, and patterns without fear. Her sessions foster genuine human connection, which is vital for healing. Clients are not just heard—they are understood. Because of this, many begin to uncover hope and clarity in areas where they previously felt stuck.
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it, Ellen provides affordable access to support. Her sessions are available at a low cost while she completes her clinical training. If you’re interested in booking therapy with Ellen, please email: clinical@theselfspace.com.
