Lisa Martin Interpersonal Psychotherapist Manchester offers expert mental health treatment backed by over two decades of experience. I’ve worked with the Priory for 20 years and joined the Manchester Wellbeing Therapy team four years ago. I bring extensive experience in both individual and group therapy. Because of this, I’ve gained deep insight into the varied and complex needs of my clients.
My approach focuses on the relational aspects of emotional and psychological health. I use Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), a structured and practical treatment that helps clients overcome depression by improving communication and strengthening key relationships. This method empowers clients to move forward with confidence and clarity.
I am a fully accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapist and a Registered Mental Nurse. My professional training includes certifications from NMC and IPT UK. I also hold a:
Diploma in Life Coaching
Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Each qualification strengthens the foundation of the care I offer. They also ensure that my practice remains both evidence-based and client-centered.
Depression is often more than just a feeling—it’s a story. I work with clients to understand the personal narrative behind their depression. Together, we explore which relationships most affect their emotional state. Once we identify key dynamics, we work on improving communication and rebuilding trust.
This focus helps clients achieve tangible improvements in their lives. Moreover, they leave therapy with tools that support long-term emotional well-being.
I specialize in mental health treatment for a range of conditions, including:
Depression
Bereavement
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
Adjustment Disorders
Stress
Each session is tailored to the individual. My goal is always to help clients feel empowered, understood, and emotionally safe. Therapy is a collaborative journey—one that begins with compassion and ends with clarity.
Clients choose me for my practical, relationship-focused method. With IPT, we don’t just talk—we work through challenges directly tied to recovery. Sessions remain goal-oriented, with measurable progress over time.
I believe in making therapy accessible and meaningful. So, whether you’re navigating grief, chronic stress, or seasonal depression, I’m here to help you build stronger relationships and a more resilient self.
If you are looking for an empathetic, results-driven approach to therapy, Lisa Martin Interpersonal Psychotherapist Manchester is ready to support you. Let’s work together to make positive, lasting change.
