Meet Polly Lim – Passionate Podiatrist with a Research-Driven Approach
About Polly
Polly Lim brings a unique blend of international experience, clinical expertise, and academic insight to her role as a podiatrist. Originally from the tropical climate of Singapore, Polly made the move to Melbourne in pursuit of further education and a deeper understanding of musculoskeletal podiatry. Her passion for research began during her Honours year at La Trobe University, where she explored foot function in children with Down Syndrome.
After spending several years working and travelling across Singapore, Polly returned to La Trobe to undertake a significant research project focused on midfoot osteoarthritis. Her goal is to bridge the gap between clinical practice and scientific research, translating evidence into meaningful outcomes for her patients.
With a background in gymnastics and field hockey, and now a keen hiker, Polly understands the demands active lifestyles can place on the body. She firmly believes that joint conditions or age-related wear and tear should not signal the end of an active life.
