About Winelands Knee Clinic

At Winelands Knee Clinic, our priority is optimising patient care to achieve the best possible functional outcomes. We take a comprehensive approach to knee health, working closely with local physiotherapists and biokineticists to ensure that both non-surgical treatments and post-operative recovery are as effective as possible.

Led by Dr David North, an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with extensive international training, our clinic offers advanced knee procedures tailored to each patient’s needs. Whether you require minimally invasive treatment, joint preservation, or knee replacement surgery, our team is here to guide you towards improved mobility and a pain-free lifestyle.

Our Services

Minimally Invasive & Joint Preservation Procedures

  • Arthroscopy – A minimally invasive procedure using a small camera to diagnose and treat knee conditions with minimal recovery time.
  • Meniscus Repairs – Restores torn meniscus tissue, relieving pain and improving stability.
  • Chondral Surgery – Addresses cartilage damage, promoting new cartilage growth and joint health.
  • Joint Preserving Surgery – Delays the need for knee replacements by using cartilage repair techniques and realignment procedures.

Ligament & Patella Stabilisation

  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) SurgeryRepairs or reconstructs the ACL, a key ligament for knee stability.
  • Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) Surgery – Restores function and support to the knee by reconstructing the PCL ligament.
  • Multi-Ligament Knee Surgery – A specialised procedure for severe knee injuries affecting multiple ligaments.
  • Patella Dislocation Surgery – Corrects dislocated kneecaps, improving knee alignment and reducing future dislocations.

Knee Replacement & Revision Surgery

  • Total Knee ReplacementReplaces the entire knee joint with a prosthetic, offering long-term relief for advanced arthritis and joint damage.
  • Partial Knee Replacement – A more targeted approach, replacing only the affected knee compartment, resulting in faster recovery and improved mobility.
  • Revision Knee Replacement – For patients with previous knee replacements, this surgery replaces worn or malfunctioning prosthetic components to restore function and reduce discomfort.
