About
Dr Sanjay Ranchod is a Specialist Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon based at Life Kingsbury Hospital in Claremont, Cape Town. He also serves as a part-time consultant in the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at Groote Schuur and Tygerberg Hospitals. Dr Ranchod graduated with his undergraduate degree in Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003, achieving multiple first prize merit awards. He went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery (Cum Laude) in 2007 and earned his Master’s degree in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery (Cum Laude) in 2019.
He has completed various advanced surgical courses and his research has been published in both local and international journals. Dr Ranchod’s special interests include dental implantology and facial trauma reconstruction. He was awarded the AOCMF Fellowship in Germany in 2020, which allowed him to further hone his skills in digital implant surgery and facial trauma reconstruction. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with his family.
